We love to lift, train, and push ourselves (and our clients) in the gym, but I’m sure you’ve already noticed we also love to EAT! Our date nights usually consist of trying a new Dallas restaurant or going to one of our “usuals.”

The weather is warming up and patio weather is HERE! YAY! Check out these 5 Dallas Dines we are LOVING this Spring.

Mudhen Meat & Greens (Dallas Farmers Market)

If you love veggies, all kinds, cooked all sorts of ways, you will LOVE this place! It’s located right in the heart of the newly renovated Dallas Farmers Market. My recommendation is creating your own plate. You pick a meat (below: rotisserie pulled chicken in a walnut cream sauce) Then pick your veggies and your starch (below: colorful carrots and whipped cauliflower) SO fresh & DELISH. I’ve also tried their parsnip puree¬†(under “starches”) and it’s yummy!! They have tons of other options as well and they rotate their veggies throughout the week depending on what’s fresh and in season. Everything is local, which is awesome! They have 2 patios, so get out there on a nice day and then stop by the Dallas Farmers Market on your way out!

Fireside Pies (Henderson Ave)

This is a usual date night spot for us! We LOVE pizza!! Since I’m gluten free, this has been my go-to because their GF crust is the best! We love sitting on their patio whether it’s warm or cold out, rain or shine because they enclose their patio and have a fireplace and heaters to keep it cozy on cooler days. And it’s just as amazing when the temps are a bit warmer! Austin loves the Straight pie (top) with extra, extra chicken. ūüėČ I always go for the Basalmic Roasted Chicken pie on GF crust and I sub out the blue cheese for goat cheese. It’s PERFECT. The service is always wonderful and our waiter knows us already since we come there on the regular. Now I’m hungry…

Zizikis (Travis Walk)

This has to be a top contender for best Mediterranean food in Dallas. We love the Travis Walk location because it’s romantic and cozy on the inside and they have a cute, relaxing patio outside. We ate here recently when Austin’s parents were in town and sat out on the patio. It was the perfect night, great weather and the food was a 10. We got the dip sampler of different kinds of hummus with veggies/pita bread. We also tried the dolmades, which were SO good. I got the Ziziki’s salad topped with chicken kabobs and their famous ziziki dressing on the side. So fresh and their chicken is TO DIE FOR.

The Rustic (Uptown)

We LOVE live music, we LOVE country music, and we LOVE hanging with friends at fun patio’s when the weather’s nice! The Rustic is the place to be! Our favorite time to go is a Saturday afternoon because they usually have someone playing music from 4-6pm. Grab a cocktail (we’re all about that BALANCE), have a seat in or outside (you can see the stage from both places) and spend the afternoon catching up with friends, catching some tunes, and soaking in the SPRING sun!

Cafe Herrera @ The Omni

This place is one of our most recent discoveries, and it’s only a couple weeks old! Located next to the Omni Hotel in downtown, Cafe Herrera is the spot for all things tex mex & FRESH margaritas! We both LOVE fajitas and theirs were delicious! Their hand made corn tortillas were so good, but their margaritas (again, we’re all about that balance & moderation LIFESTYLE!) have to be some of the BEST in Dallas. They were super fresh and made with simple ingredients. We went with a couple good friends of ours and had the best time! I got their Flaca (skinny) Margarita (on the right) and it was light, refreshing, and overall a 10/10. No syrupy taste!! They also have a large patio to sit out on a nice day. Can’t wait to go back!
